ETEC522:
522 was an interesting course for me. I had never planned on becoming an entrepreneur, but this course did make it clear that it is possible. The readings and projects in this course, as well as interactions with my group members, provided me with a lot of insight and learning into the world of Technology Ventures. For a while I became quite excited with the idea of creating a social network similar to Facebook (but more private) where teachers could discuss classroom issues and solutions, share resources and more.
After much deliberation about this potential fork in the road, I decided to stay on the main track. There are many technologies under development, and only a few succeed. While it could be a potentially worthwhile detour, I cannot be certain if it would dead-end. I did learn much through the projects that I feel can be (and has been) applied in my other MET courses, and potentially further down the road in my life, perhaps in a new job or career.
Below you will find links to various artifacts (projects/papers) that I completed throughout the course, as well as my reflections on those artifacts. When you've finished browsing through them, you can continue through my MET Educational Roadtrip by choosing another course from the Fall of 2008, linked on the signpost below, or continue on to the next semester, also on the signpost.
